Job Description

Summary: The Solar Sales Consultant generates leads and new business through inside and outside sales strategies. This independent contractor creates their own schedule, benefits from paid training, and earns an excellent commission while selling a product that benefits home owners by reducing their energy bills at no cost.
This is a 1099 position with a paid training period and room to grow!

• In-home sales of residential and light commercial solar systems
• Generate leads through home visits, referrals, cold-calling, email, etc.
• Schedule and attend customer visits to present information on solar systems
• Follow up on sales visits and leads while being dedicated to closing sales
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling sales visits
• Log and report all sales activities to sales support team as necessary
• Prepare weekly feedback and forecast reports to sales support team
• Participate in weekly meeting/teleconference with the Director of Sales
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by sales support


Requirements: The ideal independent contractor will possess the following qualities:
• At least 2 years of prior outside sales experience preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
• Highly self-motivated with ability to set and achieve personal sales goals
• Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
• High energy with a passion for engaging and persuading potential clients
• Education: Associates degree or higher preferred
