Job Description

Utilize direct/B2B outbound prospecting efforts to identify and close new business from clients within the Social, Analytics, Cloud, Content, Finance, Advertising, Broadcasting, SaaS, and Big Data
Verticals. Exclusive focus on colocation driven networking, storage, hybrid cloud and laboratory use cases, with strong interconnection requirements. Manage the customer engagement cycle from proposal through to close including the negotiation of complex contractual terms and conditions with new customers.


The Role
* Develops Colocation & Connectivity opportunities within a designated Sector, with specific focus on DLR Market Segments - Network, IT, Cloud, Content, Enterprise, and Financials
* Exceed quarterly sales targets in range of $30k to $45k net new MRR; employing a direct/B2B sales approach focused on new business acquisition (i.e. - not account management) from both new logo and existing clients
* Employ a consultative sales approach across all levels of the client decision-making spectrum, with a focus on developing client relationship(s)

The Requirements

* At least 7-10 years of quantifiable experience in direct, B2B, relationship driven, new logo acquisition sales in the colocation, cloud solutions, IT services, telecommunications, or related technology vertical
* Demonstrable experience in C-Level selling and C-level relationship development within global clients operating complex, matrix driven structures
* Excellent knowledge of big data trends (Internet of Things, Social Media, Content, Cloud Adoption). Strong understanding of the data and mobile communications industry.
* Demonstrable experience in applying knowledge of Hybrid, Private and Public Cloud architectures to sales solutions, including the implementation and management of these solutions.
